Our Yoga Flow classes are based on the Hatha yoga tradition. The name Hatha joins together two opposites Ha meaning “sun” and tha meaning “moon.” Our practice, just like the word, works on bringing balance to our bodies through working these opposites inside us – forward and back, in and out, up and down.
Each class includes pranayama (yoga breathing techniques), meditation, and asanas (poses) – including standing, seated, backbends and inversions linked together in set flowing sequences. Our focus is on correct alignment and poses will be held for longer to ensure you are receiving the full benefit from each asana.
By covering a variety of physical sequences this class will help you improve your flexibility, core strength, balance, coordination, and concentration. Open to all Yoga Flow is suitable for beginners and variations will be offered for those with more experience.
